Step in, glam up, belt it out...silently.

Silent Drag Photobooth of Berlyn

James Berlyn

An intimate, participatory performance just for you: step inside, draw the curtains, and quietly unleash your inner diva.

Silent Drag Photo Booth Of Berlyn is a 15-minute one-on-one performance set within a photo booth. Upon entering, select from a menu of classic songs the drag anthem you most identify with; your selection determines the drag booth photo outcome! The menu of songs will be tailored to suit the specific context: Arts/Fringe Festival, Cabaret Festival, or Queer Event.

Performance artist James Berlyn will guide you through a personal and private transformation – build your look together, perform (mime) your song together, and receive a photographic keepsake of your private performance… mid-belt, in all your temporary drag finery.

You leave as you came in, the experience was just for you, except for the one Polaroid piece of evidence of your starring role…

“…this work is fabulous. James is a brilliant and charming 6ft5″ ballet dancer, drag artist and one-on-one specialist, and this gig is very lovely. It is basically a short masterclass in drag.” Jonathan Holloway, Artistic Director, Perth International Arts Festival
